HELP NEEDED! Timing cover seal 2000 Honda Civic LX
In desperate need of help. I’ve looked a so many you tube videos and tried looking at diagrams online, but can’t find exact placement. I recently installed a new head gasket on my 2000 Honda Civic LX, and have put most everything back together. However, there is a rubber L shaped seal that came off of my timing cover when I removed it and I have a new one. Where does this seal exactly go? Any help given is appreciated! The link to the seal is listed below
Re: HELP NEEDED! Timing cover seal 2000 Honda Civic LX
haven't personally worked on a D16, but looking at the diagram, i'd venture a guess it's on the engine facing side of the timing cover (on the engine-facing side of where I drew the red L). There should be a little groove where it fits in
edit: looking at a YouTube video to get a closer look of that piece, I saw this shape on the outward facing side. Logic tells me the engine facing side has the groove to fit that rubber piece
