Bilstein Shocks on LX trim

Hey so I'm looking at the Bilstein shocks, specifically the BILSTEIN 24114240 model number, and wanted to know if they will fit on the LX trim as well. I am aware that they go on the SI but I was curious if anyone tried them with an LX or non-SI model. I imagine that the biggest concern would be the springs possibly not fitting correctly.

RockAuto shows the same part numbers so it appears so. I'm assuming you mean the American Si (DOHC engine, hatchback), not the Canadian one that is physically similar to the LX.

Re: Bilstein Shocks on LX trim

yeah, just the American on. I actually got an email that Bilstein claims they do not make the shocks for the non - SI of that year. If that's the case, if the manufacture doesn't recommend it. I won't go for it.

Re: Bilstein Shocks on LX trim

Model year matters here. All years of the Si used 16mm crash bolts, only '03-'05 of the LX would also use 16mm. '01-'02 used smaller 14mm bolts. Even with that difference you can get an adapter to work. Everything else should be the same.
