Cool hood fitment question

hi guys, new to the honda world. got a 95 civic ex. im assuming the fenders hood and bumper cover will interchange from 92-95? what about hoods from other years? reason im asking is the u shaped piece on the hood that catches on the latch itself sits too far forward and barely catches the latch at all. thinking wrong year hood? appreciate any insite.

Re: hood fitment question

The coupe/hatch has a different hood from the sedan.

Same with the fenders and front bumper cover, but the hatch has a different rear bumper and the coupe/sedans are the same. It's weird.

Re: hood fitment question

so there might be a diffrerence in length of the hood possibly....maybe why the piece on the hood isnt matching up to the latch itself. thanks for your reply man...

Re: hood fitment question

I believe it's slightly shorter. Do you have a coupe or sedan?

Re: hood fitment question

Yes. Only the hatchback didn't have an EX trim. Maybe it's the sedan that has a slightly shorter hood.

Quick edit: The coupe/hatchback hoods are shorter like I mentioned, but it latches slightly differently.
