Suicide Hood

got some money and I want to make my hood open by the front, any one knows how to?

instructions on making the pieces or anything..

any info would be nice..

I can't answer your question... but regarding what Gotti said - that's not a true suicide hood. It's just a crazy hinging mechanism which allows it to open and stick up on it's nose, but it's not hinged at the front bumper, so it's not truly a suicide hood, in case you care.

well i call it suicide hood, because thats the way they are called..

i have searched, did not found much information..

i found that some one did it, but not the way i want it..

Ya really, you can actually get the whole front clip of the car to open just like the vette...I've also seen trick door hinges out there...looks cool.

There's a mechanical engineer where I work who said he'd like to make a design for that sort of thing. He didn't know how much it would cost though...

i had one on my 83 Lude it was cool looking but whenever you needed to get into the engine bay it was a pain in the A$$. Not worth it IMO

well, i have read comments about them not closing good, or leaking water, and it's still too much money.. paying 1200 for lambo doors...
