2017 Honda Civic giving me a headache

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and i'm hoping i can get some help. Finally took the plunge and got a 2017 honda civic ex. I've had the car for less than a month and it's already becoming a huge headache. Issues started with my alarm just randomly going on and off in twenty minute intervals out of the blue one day. It would not turn off with the key and i had to manually unlock the door and keep it unlocked so the alarm would not activate.

Next, went out to start the car and bam, completely dead. No lights, no sounds. A neighbor had to give me a jump. Once the car started , i received two error messages: keyless start system problem and drive carefully systems initializing. On the main screen an anti theft message came up - this system has lost power.

Today i go to start the car and once again, battery is dead. I made an appointment to go see a honda dealership on Friday but does anyone have any idea what the issue could possibly be? My neighbor thinks it could be an issue with the sensors in the hood or trunk or something with the electronics. I think it is more than just a battery issue as it all started with the alarm and now all these error messages are coming up.

Feeling right now that i bought a lemon, a very expensive lemon.

Probably the battery or a loose connection. Could be something draining the battery.

Did it not come with a 30 day warranty or something?

Thanks for the response. I have the remainder of the powertrain warranty which doesn't cover battery or any electrical issues. I agree that something is draining the battery and i'm hoping it is that versus something to do with the electrical components. I take the car in Friday so hopefully they can pinpoint the issue.

Does it have an aftermarket or dealer installed alarm?

I bought it from a dealership so i'm not sure. I'm leaning more towards it being a factory alarm.

Re: 2017 Honda Civic giving me a headache

Update: Thank you so much for the suggestions. I took it to the dealership and it was still under warranty. They determined that the body control module had to be replaced. Picked it up Saturday and so far no issues but its only been a few days. I'm a little concerned that in less than 10,000 miles, such a significant issue is already happening. With everything going on, my title is delayed but once that comes through, i'm giving thought as to whether to wait and see if this was a fluke or if this is what to expect from my Honda. If i'm going to continue to have these issues, even if they are covered under warranty, i may decide to sell it and go back to Toyota.

I'm hoping you're right. It's been a pain having to go through this car buying process so i wouldn't want to have to do it again unless i absolutely had to.
