B4RA Transmission Fluid
I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX Coupe with a B4RA Automatic Transmission. Should I use genuine Honda AT Fluid or a High Quality name brand ATF? Also
recently did an Engine Change and accidentally moved the shift lever on the Transmission when removing the Shift Cable. So don't know what position the
shift lever on the Transmission should be in (I think the lever should be straight and pointing up). I know when we started to remove the shift cable
both the Gearshift and the Transmission were in Neutral (per the instructions in the repair manual). Thanks in Advance. Tim

Re: B4RA Transmission Fluid
Moving the lever on the trans you should be able to feel the different gears as long as you didn't mess with the cable adjustment you should be able to find neutral pretty easy.
As for the fluid OEM is best but I have good luck with the equivalent Total ATF for these cars, other people have used Valvoline max life as well.

True. We used to run Total G3 for a few years, before we brought in DW1.

Re: B4RA Transmission Fluid
Total has always seemed like a good brand.
This was on a $500 car with 400k kms with really grungy fluid. Did a 3x drain and fill and *knocks on wood* the car shifts perfectly
