just that "side airbag" light
Ok that's quite different from the red SRS warning light.

There's no 'pressure sensor' nor weight sensors in that seat, so weight has nothing to do with the light being on

There is an electronic antenna type grid embedded in the seatback foam and a control unit, this system is called OPDS

Similar:

So now we come down to trying to understand why your light comes on when it normally would not make sense for it to be on....(see owners manual for more about how it's intended to work)

Is this a brand new problem? Has it been an ongoing concern?
Sudden development, or was it a slow onset, slow change to this current condition?

You messed with wires under the seat, did you do anything else? Replace seat? Remove and reinstall seat?

==========

Is anything sitting in or on the seat when the light turns on? Fast food bag, briefcase, electronics? (phone, laptop, tablet, XM, navigation, etc)

Are there any electronics connected to the car (power socket), such as power inverter, cell phone charger, USB adapter, device-to-radio antenna transmitter adapter

Is there an extra seat cover on the seat?
Seat mat, lumbar helper, beaded cover, extra cushion?

==========

When you start the car, what do both of the SRS warning lights do?
Both should come on for several seconds then go out. Does the amber light go out for a second then turn on again? Does it stay off a while before turning on? Does it ever blink?
