2018 Honda Civic Touring

Purchased the 2018 Honda Civic Touring (white). Looks very classy. Am adding the bra, pen stripes, and a couple of other items to finish the look up. Purchased and/or added the sunroof visor (a must have on your civic); all weather mats; trunk tray; mud flap guards. The touring has so many 'toys' you will not be disappointed. Proved to be a great buy having come from the Accord family (wasn't sure I would do the Civic). But the Civic proved to be as roomy, if not more, than the 1993 Honda Accord I have driven since purchasing same. When I compared the Civic to the Accord, the Civic Touring proved to be the choice for me. I spent a lot of time researching/comparing before I decided on the vehicle.
Has anyone else purchased the 2018 Touring one yet and why?

Re: 2018 Honda Civic Touring

Not a touring, but I got a 2018 Sport Hatch (your car minus the pushbutton start/remote start, simpler instrument cluster, no infotainment system, no subwoofer, no sensing package).

Opted for that one because personally, I felt like all those automated features would make me feel like a passenger in my own car, and it makes me pay attention to stuff more; makes me feel more "one" with my car, so to speak. Any extra toys, I can add to the car myself without the extra $7000 price tag. The way I look at it, the money I saved, I can spend on go fast toys (ktuner is in my sights) or other performance/styling upgrades. Sunroof would've been nice, but I honestly used it seldomly in my 2002, so it was a sacrifice I was able to live with. Also wanted a 6MT, but the one I was gonna look at sold right when I stepped foot on the lot.

Got the civic because my 2002 civic died (RIP) and I was looking for a replacement. Looked at suby (out of my price range), but always managed to give second and third looks at Honda. Turns out I'm a Honda fanboy through and through. I wanted the turbo, hatchback, comparable fuel economy to my 2002, and the test drive of the CVT model far surpassed my expectations. I seriously took the test drive in the CVT just to get a feel for the car, and I immediately fell in love with it. Styling of the new Civic was just icing on the cake. Cargo room in the hatch is amazing, my dog loves the backseat (doesn't know what to do with himself when I fold the rear seats down to let him wander), and the paddle shifters satisfied my jonesing for a manual tranny. Enough, at least.

I've already started to make my car my own; added HID lighting (drop in, for now, until I can get around to doing a true retrofit), yellow LED fogs, LED brake lights, hardwired dashcam, UK-market engine trim. I'm adding a Civic Type-R rear sway bar within the next week for suspension goodies.

Re: 2018 Honda Civic Touring

Just bought an 18 White Touring myself. Drove 133 km before it was rear ended. All fixed now and running great. Have been slowly installing noico sound deadener and have done trunk space and rear speaker rack and half of rear seat. Will do more as I can afford. Looking to get new LED fog lights from somewhere to match the front end. Lot's to learn wrt to the electronics. So much better than my Elantra (gave to son). Joy to drive, looking forward to a summer road trip to really stretch it's legs. City driving is a bit boring.

Re: 2018 Honda Civic Touring

I've had my 2018 Sport Touring for almost a month, now, and I absolutely love it. On our first long trip and it's been so comfortable and fuel efficient. I spent a lot of time researching before my purchase. I came from a 2008 Pontiac G5 that I drove for a decade. I'd say it was time for something I'd truly love for years(hopefully) to come rather than something just to get me by. I just couldn't trust the G5 on trips anymore. Lol This was a HUGE upgrade for me.

Love my 2018 Sport Touring--in white---added window and sun/moon roof tinting, and body side moulding, which actually looks great!

Re: 2018 Honda Civic Touring

That is just beautiful in white. Is it White Orchid Pearl or Taffeta White?
