2015 Civic Audio Upgrade Options

Hello! My wife and I "downgraded" (no more kids to lug around) last March from a 2003 Accord to a 2015 Civic EX Sedan. I love the car with the exception of the sound system. Is there small cost DIY way to upgrade it (so more oomph) without installed lots of stuff in the trunk or elsewhere?
