So I have a popping noise when I turn at slow speeds, or even when I turn the wheel and am not moving. the guy I bought the car from says hes positive I need needle bearings for my TEIN coilovers. however he is unsure of the size, he had ordered some before selling the car and ordered the wrong size, is there a way to tell what size I need so I don't just keep having to order a size and pray it fits.

Contact Tein they can get you some or tell you the size.

Do you happen to know the best way to contact tein, I called the number in their website, (some California number) and couldn't get through to anyone.

I got ahold of them and he said he never heard of a thrust bearing before and had no idea what I was talking about. Gave him the part number for my coilovers n he looked up the manual n the only thing he could find was a thrust washer , not bearing

Some have bearings, I guess yours just have washers.

Try the washers. If they fix the issue then great. If not then you will need to get thrust bearings the same size as the washers.

I had that sound in the back after installing Tein coil overs. It turns out the instructions call for cutting the rear dust covers an inch. We did that and presto! No more popping or any other noises.

Yes. I found this out the hard way, forgetting to cut the dust covers/boots as well as trimming the shaft bushings a bit.
