stupid question
so i got my new struts all built up and there is a sticker L and R. left or right.
Do they mean its l or r while im standing infront of the car or when sat down in the drivers seat?

Left and right on any vehicle are determined as you sit in the drivers seat facing forward. ALWAYS.
