Stickers on a car??? (I'm a noob)

Stickers on a car??? (I'm a noob)
I'm pretty much a noob to the whole import scene and I've read people catchin **** for having stickers on their car. Is this just because they put stickers on of stuff they don't have and wish they did? I'm just curious because if you look at my car pics I've got an AEM and Megan Racing ( I know, it's not the most popular name) on my rear side window....but I really just did it for fun. Will I catch alot of **** for this if I go to some races? I mean the stickers really do add HP like everyone says right??? j/k But are stickers really so lame that I'll catch **** about 'em??

Rep Power: 307 The only time I think stickers/decals are ok is when you are sponsored and the sponsor requires that his/her companies sticker be placed on your car. In other words, If the sticker gets you free stuff, its not rice. If you have a sticker but you dont have a part by that manufacturer, its rice. If you have a sticker and you have the part and you are not sponsored, your giving free advertising for that company. I think advertising space should be purchased, especially when its on my paint or windows!

I do have 7thgencivic.com decals on my car in the rear windows, but they are very small, and are used to help promote this site. I would never put anything parts related on my car.

blah we must have posted at the same time, any ways i do have a sticker thow its an injen sticker on my dash. the only reason i have that is when dumb people ask what i have i say look at my dash then own them off the line aka when the light turns green if they want to race

I think stickers promoting your club/team is ok....that just makes sense...but A big part of having stickers on your car is placement! I think 1 sticker for instance a 7thgencivic.com sticker right on the drivers side rear triangle window. Thats it

Rep Power: 0 Nah dont worry about it, Im glad you took the time to ask about something you didnt understand. Thats what we are here for anyway. By putting the 7thgencivic.com decal on my car, I hope to get more people to come to this site and help them with their questions.
If I can prevent 1 more civic from putting on altezzas, a giant wing, stickers, etc.. by having that little decal on my car, then its worth it.

Rep Power: 0 I like SLPs stickers, and hes hooking me up with a sweet deal on turbo and clutch, and I plan on buying most my stuff from them, so I am putting a SLP sticker on my car. So I guess Im rice. damn, oh well. I like SLPs stickers anyways, they are clean. The 7thgencivic ones are nice, too. I wouldnt put any others on my car ever. They always send me sticker that are different colors when I order stuff, so fugly.

BTW I have 4 stickers AEM and DC sports two small ones on each side of my rear window. I don't really think that is rice, I think rice is vinyl on any part of the car.

Rep Power: 331 i have a civic nation 8 inch by 1 inch sticker on back right window, got it from stickershop.ca, and i have an xm satellite radio sticker on the back window, covering the third brake light. ill get a 7thgencivic.com sticker as soon as silver ones are in stock.

I REALLY hate that joke about "stickers give you more HP". Its not funny because people say it like 10 times a day. I don't mind stickers as long as the moment i look at it, it has to blend it with the car and not jump in ur face.
