distributor help

i have a 92 hatch with a lsv and im changing out the distributor shaft o ring and when installing the ditributor it seems to only go onto the cam one way but the rotor dont seel to be pointing in the right direction but the distributor wont go on if i turn the end of the distributor onto the cam.can the distributor go on only one way?

It goes in real easy...ONLY one way.....But I've seen someone go to an awful lot of work to get it wrong ....with expensive results.


Is the rotor screwed on, or is it free to go on in any position?
