Re: 00 civic not pickin proper speed

So it runs bad?
Low power?
Gas mileage went to hell?

High mileage? Jumped time?

Check engine light on?
Got codes?

Re: 00 civic not pickin proper speed

it does have high mileage ezone, runs just fine that's the only big problem with it ig u can say but I've serched around n I'm not the only one with this problem even new models say it does it but nobody has no real answer to what it could be some say it's the computer that's not catching up to the speed when u give it has and no no codes are shown check engine light comes n goes never stays on so there's no good way to catch a code if there was any

Vague description from a non-technical point of view:
an unusual problem at least that's what I call it I can press the gas pedal to the floor the engine does not accelerate or nothing it takes what seems forever to pick up speed
I can only picture what this might feel like to someone driving the car as it happens.

Could be many things, from a serious running problem to clutch slippage.

ig u can say but I've serched around n I'm not the only one with this problem even new models say it does it but nobody has no real answer to what it could be some say it's the computer that's not catching up to the speed when u give it has
You don't have much solid useful info to go on as far as searching goes.

I don't have any way to feel what is occurring myself, nor can anyone else. There could be a hundred different things that could go wrong with it that could generate similar complaint descriptions from any number of people.

As a tech I tend to notice to all sorts of things the average driver would never notice.

Example:
Driver says "car won't start", and that's it. It's over for them. They are already cussing and calling the tow truck.

Tech jumps in and immediately begins analyzing 150 different things within the time it takes to turn the key, has assessed much useful information in that 10 second time span, and has mentally constructed a plan of action consisting of several next steps to figure out WHY it doesn't start.

and no no codes are shown check engine light comes n goes never stays on so there's no good way to catch a code if there was any
The computer has a memory and retains code information (in most cases) as long as is does not lose battery power.

Plug in and see what the computer can tell you. Post results here.
