Hi All,
I just bought a used 2013 Honda Civic EX (private party). Do these vehicles come with an automatic head light switch feature (I do not see one)? Does this car come with a built-in compass feature?

If it has auto headlights it will have an extra position on the turn signal stalk stating such.

Like this switch has AUTO labeled, and it also has foglights





Compass? Not unless you have navigation.

Got an owners manual? Most of the answers should be in there.
Got registered as the new owner with Honda? Do it so you can get notices about recalls and whatnot.

I just find it a little difficult believing Honda did not include an automatic head light option in its EX model? Seems like this should be standard safety features. I also feel the same about the compass feature.

Just a little disappointed. Am I being unreasonable?

I think you'd have to get EX-L trim or higher to get automatic headlights...


Those are not safety features.

IMO automatic headlights are just one more item that removes the user from interacting with the machine.


If you have to ask the question, you already know the answer.


Get rid of this car, buy one that has the features you want?

My 2014 EX has auto headlights standard, but it also has quite a bit more standard than the 2013.
