D17A2 into 1999 civic

First thing is this possible. second if so can I use my d16y8 trans and flywheel clutch. I want to buy an acura el for 500 and take the engine and put it in my civic witch I just bought. the vtec on the civic doesn't along with the a slight knock looking to swap in a D17A2 because I believe in the sohc engines. any help would be greatful. also was thinking of mabey a b16a2 swap just need to know what is need for this swap. can I use my original trans. I know I have to swap the ecu do I need the wiring harness, can I use my stock accessories.

Re: D17A2 into 1999 civic

The d16 trans does not fit the d17, you will need to make it fit. There are not motor mounts for a d17 into a 99 so you will have to fab those up, same with custom harness.

B series swap would be more straight forward.
