New owner with New Clean 99 LX

I just bought this car no more than 2 hours ago. Super clean, well maintained with documentation done for everything done at a Honda dealership. Liberal driver, and the best part is its only got 87k miles on it, verified by dealership documentation!

A quick Google Search says mine is an EK4....?

My first manual transmission car as well, and man this is one of the easiest clutches I've worked with no doubt. I'm around 65% of the way there from completely learning how to drive it

Here are some pictures for you guys

Anyways, this car is more for A to B than anything else. Won't be dropped, lipped, boosted or nothing. I am keeping it 100% completely stock on the outside. Its the inside thats going to get the magic. I plan to get tint, and then replace the speakers with much better aftermarket ones and amp them, and then get a custom built 8 inch subwoofer for the bass. I plan to have this car for the next 10-15 years and I think its more than ready for it

I'll be taking way more pictures later on for ya guys.

Honestly, the only plans I have for it to make it go faster is minor bolt ons.

Great find!

Welcome to the forum. Sound system will be nice and an 8" sub is all you need.

Was the timing belt/water pump/tensioner done?

Re: New owner with New Clean 99 LX

Does anybody have any recommendations on what I should do as a new owner of this car?

I just did a oil change, as well as topped off the coolant, and bought a new air filter, and I'm about to go get the transmission fluid changed...

Anything else you would do for a newly purchased car from a private owner?

Did you get all service records?

When was the timing belt last replaced?

From dealership documentation the timing belt was done at 77k miles, and yes I have all the service records starting from the 2nd owner onwards

Do you know where I would be able to get 99 civic RUBBER mats? preferably OEM spec, in Tan? I don't want a generic universal mat, I'd prefer the OEM Honda ones..

I have the OEM carpet mats, I just want the protective OEM rubber ones...

Thanks. I'll be taking pictures today for you guys

A quick look in my catalog didn't show that as available.

Try Weathertech?

Replace the coolant with Peak Global Lifetime or Zerex Asian vehicle, or Honda OEM.

Brake fluid change because it's hydroscopic!
Power steering fluid change because there may be metal particles from normal wear.
