Side Molding After Removal?

I decided to completely remove the side molding because I wanted to do something different. Well, turns out I like the look of it better with them. I was wondering if I could put them back on by sanding the back side that has the clips and using double sided trim tape? Any suggestions?

Your suggestion sounds the best. Don't see how else you are going to attach it without undoing what you filled in or by drilling into the side molding and into the body of the car.

I think it looks good though.
