there are no colors, its the resistor mounted on the board, not a regular resistor

If its a resistor then there either has to be some colored rings on it or it has to have the numbers printed on it.

the resistors with the numbers on it are integrated resistors. those things will be hard to replace

the value of the resistor that you broke was around 133k ohms. How I know dis? I just do....

j/p I used a multimeter.

If you want it to blink faster use a resistor with a value of around 20-30K ohms. Too high of a value and blink rate gets annoying........

OH yeah one more thing.. when I said to use a 20-30k ohm resistor that not the value or R1. the 20 to 30k resistor should be in parallel with the original 133K resistor. LATE Dewd

about the resistor value you should use. Dont use a 20 to 30k ohm resistor. ITs too fast. sorry about wrong info. Use a resistor around 100k to 200K in parallel with you original resistor that you messed up

Are you talking about that little black thing you pull from under the steering column, the flasher/relay? If that's what you're talking about I have mine sitting in front of me, e-mail me.

EDIT: Yeah I have that whole black piece you take out. Now that I looked at the DIY I'm pretty sure that's what ya want. Let me know if you're gonna want it.

Usually those little black surface mount resisters aren't really resistors at all, they are just jumpers.... But anyways, yeah the guy who measured it with a multimeter is probably right... but it's super hard to just 'buy' those surface mounted components, let alone re-solder them.
