Air Conditioner Removal

Has anyone removed their air conditioner yet? I've been looking for ways to lose weight and it seem to be the fastest way. Also I've been wondering, can you paint a carbon fiber hood? I love the weight advantage but I can't stand the look of carbon fiber.

yea i guess it would work also you could take out back seats and passenger seat and back bumper take off your hood and take it to the track you might run low 15 or high 14 if yo have some basic mods

you will gain hp by doing that but you will have to get a smaller belt
and get rid of all the things that goes with AC like the compressor and all that good stuff
but on the other hand, just buy a regular fiber glass hood instead of buying
a CF hood which cost a little bit more

jusst take out all your seats and ssuch , and power steering belt, rip up all the carpet and take out that foamy stuff(its sound detiining material) and that will lose a few pounds. i like my power steering and my ac since i live in kansas city it gets pretty hot here, like right now its 845 am its fu*cking 78! anyhoo yea fiber glass everything would help too. racing seats.

I heard the frame is deadweight too.
Anyways, if you want to take out the A/C from the beginning, why not just get a DX and swap an engine in there or just get some striped Civic with an EX+ engine.

I got an HX= VTEC without A/C. How rough is it to steer without the power steering belt? Is it worth the gain?
