need help with steering/suspension componenets

every thread I read is about PERFORMANCE mods and stuff. I am simply using my 01 civic ex strictly for a DD. car needs a few things. first it needs ball joints, heard the moog parts arent good for our cars because they are too big or something. what do you guys recommend? also would Monroe quick struts suffice for my daily needs? plan on buying my parts from rockauto.com, one more thing the shop said I needed a new cv boot, rockauto doesn't have that. do you guys recommend a good site to grab all of this stuff at a decent price?

I would say yes! pretty much any named Brand Shock/Strut would be good for your Stock ride.. Even the cheapest would work great if your not going to Mod it or Lower it .. and should save you a ton of cash. hope this helps

Moog makes great suspension components for Honda's, not sure where you read that. They are big as in "beefier" will hold up to more abuse. Monroe is ok but I personally would go with KYB for stock replacement shocks.

I'm not a fan of rock auto and generally use either:

hondapartscheap.com
Majestic Honda
Dezod.com
Corsport

if I were to go with the Monroe's would I have to change anything to accommodate them?

stock replacement, so i would think not.
but be sure to order for your year. 2003 and above have different struts.

Re: need help with steering/suspension componenets

I was impressed with KYB when I was replacing a stock suspension.
