Hi there,

I have a Honda Civic 2001 LX Sedan and have 2 issues.

1. Power side window on passenger side front. From the main controller on driver's side, I can lower the passenger window but will not go back up. I have to use the control directly from the passenger side to close the window.

2. I have an after market alarm system and my remotes are dead and not working. I tried searching for replacement remotes and cost a little more since these are old. What brand of alarm system with remote can you recommend on buying and something I can install myself?

I really appreciate any suggestions and comments.

1 - the switch on your drivers door could be defective, that or you have a wiring short/cut between the switch and the passenger side window motor

2 - replace the battery in your remotes

As for your window, i would check the conection on your driver side door...make sure its not a wire problem.

As for the alarm, check to see what is in your budget.. which one really depends what you want from it.. Most are easy to install...

Yes, new batteries on remote - seems to be circuit board toast.
Looking for something that will arm/disarm the car with an alarm system

Where can I find a replacement controller for the driver's side? where is a good place to buy for a good price?
