what hid kit do i need to get for my car ?
Im planning on buying a hid kit online and need to know a few things...
First of all whats the difference between bi-xenon and hi-lo
AND
Do i need 35w or 55w ?whats the difference besides the wattage?
Overall what hid kit would best suit my 1999 ej9 honda civic.

HID kits are basically universal. You buy a kit that matches your bulb type and car setup, run the wires and mount the ballests. 55W kit is brighter then 35W, but the bulbs don't last as long. OEM HID's are usually 35W. Also 55W creates a lot of heat which could melt your headlight housing.

Retrofit is the way to go.. Just gonna throw that one out there.
Also, TRS sells bulbs that can take the extra wattage from a 55w ballast. Also, the issue with melting wasn't the headlight housing, but shrouds on the projector. I've been rocking a 55w morimoto d2s kit for almost 2 years now with no melting issues.
