Hi all,
I've got a craftsman OBD II reader that I've used 4 or 5 times. It's practically new. When I first hook it up to the plug in the Honda it powers up like its suppose to. However, when I hit the "link" button to pull codes, the OBD tool powers off. I changed the three AAA batteries in it just to be sure that wasn't a problem but same outcome. Is this an indication of an ECU problem? Is there a specific fuse for the ECU? Anyone run into this? Thanks for any insight.

See if the reader works in another Honda.
It's probably a problem with your code reader.

If you want to check your plug in under the dash, the OBD connector terminal 16 is fused battery power.
Terminals 4 and 5 are both grounds, it may have one or both wired.
