Im planning on getting coils for my car soon and dont excatly know about camber kits. All I know is im going to need one. But which one should I get? Would the cheap ebay ones do the job or is worth to spend the money a get a camber kit like SPC? Please help.

Don't cheap out on camber arms! The cheaper ones are more likely to break or seize up. SPC is good, that's what I have. I have heard that Meagan is also a decent kit for the price, don't know how long they will last though.

i found out that you dont want to cheap out with car parts, especially when it comes to suspension!, id say go with a reputable brand like tein, hardrace, SPC, etc as you said, hope this helped!

SPC/ingalls will rust to hell. and i mean TO HELL. i had the ingalls one and it was to *****...

i currnetly have the Ksport one and its held up very well. longer than my ingals did.

sl33pyriceboi, you must have had a rotten pair from the start. My Ingalls are fantastic. They are the original model (not smart-arm) and they holding up well after serving 4 years on a Japanese Integra. There was no rust or damage to be seen, though I did coat them with fresh paint to make sure they stayed that way.

Some other good camber kits are Megan Racing (cheapest / quality option) or Wicked Tuning which is relatively new. I have Ingalls and I love 'em. They're just a bit pricey. SPC I've heard is about the same.

i got them 3.5 years ago. new from dezod. i am not aware that they have a newer version? any links to comparison pictures?

because seriously, the rusted to hell and the rubber bushings didnt last anymore than a year.

maybe because im low as hell and it pus more stress on the camber arm? iono. but they didnt last.

the camber control arm for the integra and our 7thgen civics are different.

with our 7th gens (and RSXs/EP3s) there is a stress point on on the bushing because the camber control arm is pushed at an angle and binds the bushing.

yes i heard the old ingalls had rust issues the newer smart arms are very durable cast formed and have the option of either rubber or polyurethane bushings. but even if there better quality you should still rust proof your suspension components i mean the first day i got my brand new shiny progress coilovers the sprayed them with rust proofing. you should do this if you live in harsh environments.

megan,skunk2,D2,K-sport,blackworks, there all basically the same thing in different colors so get the cheapest one but i personally wouldn't recommend those over buddy club or ingalls smart arms.

Megan is good as I've heard from several close friends and people on this forum as well as on ClubCivic.

And what year of Civic do you have? I know the 01-05 does not need camber bolts in the front because there is already plenty of adjustability in the front hub.

eh, my Ksport rear rear camber arms are on 2 years and going strong. bushings havnt ripped, nothing has rusted, nothing has cracked... my ingalls? a year and it was toasted to ****.

but i guess everyone will have different experiences with various products (like my bad exp with ingalls)

truthfully? rokkors (aka rebranded racelands) are like the worst cheap *** stupidest fail coilovers...and only idiots who are cheaping out of things they shouldnt buy them.

your suspension if vital to your safety (even if you dont drive them hard)...and with cheap coilovers, they are very very prone to fail. you wanna know WHY they are only $300 ish?

i got some raceland and BC racing same as D2 and Ksport so prepare your diddly hole. thats why i was surprised you recommended Ksport because D2 and Ksport are the same thng.

The ksport camber kit is made very well. You'd be suprised. I checked it out at a vendor during SEMA and got to physically examin it. That's why I went with them (plus, a camber kit is pretty simple and straight forward... Unlike the dynamics of coilovers)


Now, ksport coilovers or brakes.... That's a whole different pile of ****

ksport just chinese ebay stuff you can get no name ebay kits that are identical to ksport just not orange in color personally i wouldn't put anything ksport on my car.

but i dont see any other camber kit made for the DC5/EM2/ES that has a t6 6061 body...thats what differentiates the Ksport from the others

are you going to install it yourself or pay for labor?

installing it yourself will save you roughly about $300.


install it yourself option:
any sort of springs or even eibach ground control ($200+)
tokico blues ($400)

thats a fairly decent setup. obviously the GC will cost a little more than $200

if you are planning to pay someone for labor, your $600 budget isnt enough for a proper suspension job...and here is why:

labor $300
springs $200+

whats the problem with that? you're going to blow our your stock struts in no time. and then you will have a shitty and unsafe ride. you will also eventually buy replacement struts (if you care about any sort of ride quality, safety, or decent handling) and spend more $$$ on labor and more $$$ on 4 new struts.
