01 civic won`t crank, turn over, but will push start

hi al, here is my problem 01 civic coupe 155 000kms. wnet to town for shopping today, car workes great, shut off and sterted 2 or 3 times. when tinto store, came out, turned key, nothing. all my lights came on in the dash and radio came on as normal, but the car didn`t crank. no cranking , no rolling over, no clicking nothing. got a kid to push me and it started when i popped the clutch. thank god i got is home. cleaned up the connections and tries agisn. nothing same as before. even tries to boost it and nothing, same as before.

i am guessing is could be the starter and silionoid(however u spell it), but not sure where it doesen`t even crank or click. or could it be that safty button on the clutch peddel? any thoughts guys? thanks

Starter is probably sticking or bad. Locate it and give it a few taps with a small hammer or heavy tool. If it still doesn't start, time to replace the starter.
