Urgent! Those who installed their Konis...

Question: Did any of you guys damage the front koni dampers while trying to insert them into the stock gutted ones?

I did...and all thanks to the instructions!

The instructions say/or shows that you can hammer in the front inserts. Well, as I did that, I heard a little hissing noise....yep, the damper was depressurising.

So now my civic is up on stands... I've got blown dampers...dont want to put those in....I can't even talk to a "real" person at Koni...I'm going crazy!

any one have any suggestions? Please?

Hey, I haven't done it yet but here's a link to the procedure w/ pics...maybe it would help?

Koni strut install

Per the instructions, you are supposed to be able to use a hammer....so maybe you can get Koni to replace the damaged strut?

mwwhonda: Did that bolt really pull it down all the way to the bottom?

I was thinking of doing that too.....ah, if only i could go back in time

Anyone know how i might be able to get in contact with KONI NA?

Do you guys think they'll replace the dampers free of charge?

Should i install the blown struts anyway?
