Experiencing some pulling when accelerating.
Experiencing some pulling when accelerating.
My 2009 LX has 109k miles on it and it's just started to occasionally pull a little when I want to accelerate. Any suggestions? Also, NEVER had a flush or drain on the trans fluid.

Got any more details?
I test drive and then evaluate.
If it pulls Right, then turn off the Rush Limbaugh talk radio.
If it only pulls when the spouse is in the car, then suggest a diet.
Ok, enough of my humor.....
Most problem pulls are quite consistent.
Tires are the #1 cause.
Uneven pressure, treadwear, brand, size, tread depth are all factors. Belt problems. Tapered wear. Some things you just can't see at all.
Low speed waddle or wiggle is a clue to belt problems. Also a clue to low pressure.
Cheapo low quality tires just suck. That includes big names as well as small.
One check is to swap the 2 front tires left and right, then drive it and see if it pulls the opposite direction, or straightens up.
If no difference at all, then it isn't tires.
Then suspension checks...
Some people have this complaint, and I later find out they drive a certain road that tilts more than others and that's where it happens. Ruts in the road also can do the same thing.
Not the cars' fault in that case.

Re: Experiencing some pulling when accelerating.
the funny part is to think a pull is caused by trans.
well, if an engine is on and the gear is in drive, and the brakes are off, it should pull forward if the drive is engaged forward, or pull backwards if the drive is in reverse. bwaaaaahahahahaha!
