Temp gauge

If anyone can help I have 04 coupe manual trans, temp gauge doesnt work if anyone knows how to fix prob much appreciated

is engine light on? could be a bad ECT sensor or a bad gauge cluster.

No engine light fan blade came off replaced motor on that & temp sensor I was gonna try the ect sensor but I read. It was sending unit I called dealer they didn't knw if my yr had one I found diagram but only for 6th gen but I did find single grn/yellow stipe wire but not shore if its it ill try the ect first thanx

1. Push and hold the trip/reset button
2. Turn the lighting switch on
3. Turn the ignition to ON(II)
4. Within 5 seconds, turn the lighting switch OFF, then ON and OFF again
5. Within 5 seconds, release the trip/reset button, then push and release the button 4 times

The beeper sounds 5 times. Then all the indicators blink. Then the odo/trip segment blinks 5 times. Then all the needles sweep from min to max back to min. Then it will run a communications check and display either all 8's or the word error. 8's are good, error means the connection between the cluster and ECM/PCM is bad. If anything doesn't work properly in test mode replace the cluster.

Thanx for info so I tried it all needles sweep and have all 8s temp gauge stops at almost half way then to h but way dwn was sticking I did it multiple times now gauge sweeps proper so if there's no error do u knw what could be thanx again

I want to say thanx for the help the communication sweep fixed my temp gauge bin driving me crazy forf a month now gd looking out
