Driver-Side Power Lock AND Key do not work

Hey guys,

I've seen a few forums out here which deal with the problem of the power locks not working - simple replacement of the actuator.

But could this also cause the key not to be able to open the door? The weird part is that these problems happened at the same time. So 90% of the time the key will not turn at all when in the lock, but once in a while it will just turn effortlessly. Is it a coincidence that my lock cylinder wore out at the same time as the actuator?

I can still lock the door manually from the inside of the car.

Any ideas? Thanks

Coincidence.
2 separate problems.
