replacing control arm bushings

I'm a noob when it comes to cars. However, I am attempting to replace the control arm bushings in my car. It's an 01 honda civic lx.

I have the bolts holding control arm on off. However it is still attached to the ball joint.. any suggestions on how to get it off?

big hammer?

Re: replacing control arm bushings

There's a trick that works almost every time and it won't damage the ball joint taper like a big hammer, it's shown in the ball joint DIY, under 7th gen>DIYs>Suspension.
