Center dome light does not go out when doors are closed
With doors closed, the dome light comes on in two switch positions. The third position turns it off completely. It is a 2001 Civic.

So when it is in the middle it stays on all the time?
If it comes on in two positions and only turns off on the third then pull out your switch, it could be a loose wire or it is bad and you need a new one.
