So i was driving down the road about a week ago in my 01 ex 5sp, and the speedometer just quit working, went to and stayed on 0. Took the car to O'reillys and 0bd2 reader threw a code for the vehicle speed sensor. Went to Honda and bought part, replaced it myself, and the speedo still isn't working The code is still being thrown and i have no clue where to go from here. All help appreciated!

so i took it to pb honda of kingsport tn, and after 3 hours of labor, told me my speed sensor was fine. and that it was an electrical problem. they charge 79 an hour, so if anyone could try to steer me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. also, my odometer isn't moving either, it's stuck on 179371 ):

Try cleaning the battery terminals, disconnecting it might reset the speedometer, I would check your cables and make sure one did not fall off and make sure they are on right, I do beleive there is a cable under the car that connects to the tranny. did you check the fuses? that would be a good place to start too.

I would also make sure your getting a good connection at the vss. Those plugs can get wet and corode.
