Hey guys, I've got my ej9 5 years and since day one,theres a tipping noise coming from the back/left quarter panel,say over the wheel.its like its inside the body work. I never wanted to go ripping out the interior to find it.

I've only looked at it through the speaker hole in the back but i can't see anything. it's something tipping off of the metal bodywork I'm sure but what could it be? wires? Does the water hose for the back wiper run this way? I HATE noises in cars and this is just come to the point where it's driving me crazy!

Any ideas of what it could be?

I've heard shocks make noises like that but only sure way to tell is to shake the car to make the noise and listen with a stethescope (spelling?) to narrow down the area and then look inside if it insnt the shock.

i have the same thing in that area and i think its the fuel tank. it only makes the noise after driving. does yours do it after leaving the car overnight?

it only makes the noise when I am driving/moving.what could it be in the fuel tank? the fuel line hitting off of something?I'm taking it for a drive shortly so I'll try and listen intently. If i shake the car it doesn't make anyway noise. I think it needs a lot of movement to get it making noise

Maybe it could be your trunk latch cable?

sorry i should say it a right hand drive so i doubt its the trunk latch cable as the pull release handle is on the right so i presume the cable would run on the right side of the car. im still baffled by this.it seems high enough like it just under the window inside in the quarter panel.
