Another no brake lights thread with a twist, parking lights flash
OK, so both my brake and tail lights are non functional. Reverse lights work fine. My parking lights come on when I step on the brake which leads me to believe there is a bad ground somewhere. I've thoroughly inspected every rear socket and wire as far as I can follow them and found no indication of crimps or burnt parts. I've read on other forums some people have had success removing either the steering column or ignition switch and cleaning underneath. I don't really understand the logic behind this and wanted some thoughts.
Also, not sure if it's relevant, but I've been using unmodified LED fixtures much like the ones on sniperscout's ride and also have had an SRS light on for the past several months.

Re: Another no brake lights thread with a twist, parking lights flash
UPDATE: After fiddling around with it today, I noticed my parking light fuse blew. Not having a replacement immediately handy, I borrowed a fuse from the horn and now I have one taillight on the drivers side, still no brake lights, and my parking lights don't flash anymore. Furthermore, when I have the parking light switch on and plug in an LED (on the driver's side) the taillight comes on. If I unplug it and turn the male end over and plug it back in, it shines as a brake light (brighter). On the passenger side, there's nothing.
Please, anybody who has had a similar problem and fixed it, post your story. I could use some help figuring this out.
Thank you.

test each connector with a multimeter to be sure its the wiring and not just the taillights. srs isnt really related but it does sound like a bad wiring problem somewhere.
