Air air air
Air air air
I believe I have this diagnosed... but you guys can help confirm and save me a headache.
Did a coolant change this morning and when i went to take a test drive I came home and discovered air coming from my oil cap, took cap off and its a solid stream of air/exhaust smelling crap. I though initially "oh **** its a gasket" being i was abused by an old caddy with such, but my shop said doesnt sound right given symptoms.
As of now the symptoms are air out the oil cap/top and off idle despite timing being correct and idle valve cleaned and idle set. I am hopin i am just suffering a clogged pcv/egr but not dealt with this enough to know. can anyone shed light? thanks. Oh btw no coolant loss and no oil coolant signs whatsoever, or overheating.

Re: Air air air
So an update, I had to top off the coolant and adjust the idle so thats a non issue. The oil by the way is not burning, going down, or smoking. I did a bunch of browsing about the "air oil cap" etc and found its not at all uncommon, it seems. I have a light suction, NOT blow out, correction there. I cleaned all valve lines pcv etc and nothing. I figure with so many having this sign while the engine is running, not worried for now.
For good measure I marked the coolant level in the reservoir to see. Who knows
