02 sensors

My engine light is on because my 02 sensor is bad but I also have no cat either so is the engine light still going to b there or is there a way to trick the sensor into thinking the cat is there?

Re: 02 sensors

On VWs, I read there's a sensor that's looking for a specific resistance value for correct cat operation. If that's the case for a Honda, finding that value and wiring that 'correct' resistance should make the light go away.

Re: 02 sensors

Yes, search ebay for a 02 sensor spacer. They are about $15. All it does is screw into your secondary O2 sensor (the one behind the cat), and then your secondary o2 sensor screws into that spacer. That will get rid of the P0420 check engine light code. If it doesn't reset on its own within a tank of gas, you'll have to reset it with a scanner. (Autozone will do it for free)
