Question Trunk Release not working

Back in March I bought a 2005 Civic LX Special Edition Coupe from a Honda dealer in town. The only thing that I could find wrong was that the trunk release next to the driver seat was jammed, and no matter which way you turn the lock, it seems to stay locked. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Re: Trunk Release not working

You can pop the lock cylinder up with a flat blade screwdriver, then reach down in and see if can move the lock latch at the bottom by hand.

I had to shim the lock cylinder forward (folded paper) on my 05 to get the key lock to engage with latch.
