Chip on windshield - Who to trust?
Hi everyone,
I have a less than a centimeter chip in the middle of my windshield for over a year now. My brother called TD Insurance and they said it's covered. So, I was thinking of taking it to SPEEDY GLASS. Would you recommend them?
I don't like to walk into the place and come out with a worst windshield.
I also don't want to pay a dime for this as it's covered by insurance so are there any extras that SPEEDY GLASS might throw at me which I should avoid?
I am in Greater Toronto Area.
Thanks

I had to pay a 100 dollar deductible through my insurance here in Washington. I used the same company actually in Tacoma, and have no issues.... BUT... After they put it in, ride without the radio on the highway a few times and just listen, for whistling or crackling. They have installation guarantees, so you should be fine. Just cover your deductible and they will take care of it for you. No worries.

If it's been a year it may or may not go further.
I have read you want to go with a good company for the chip repair as some repairs will change color with age. (That is if you can get a windshield to last that long before replacement is needed, Japanese cars and cracked windshields go hand in hand)
I paid $65 to have mine done (small crack)
