idle rises

I just finished swapping a new block on my d15b7 civic due to a snapped crank pulley bolt. Everything works fine from the first turn of the key except after driving the car for a little while, when I put it in park, the idle rises and falls just above and below 1k rpms. Could this be a kinked vaccuum hose or a faulty sensor? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: idle rises

Check for codes first: http://check-engine-light-codes.blog...retrieval.html

If no codes: Clean the IACV (idle air control) and throttlebody. Also check for vacuum leaks.
