Found 2 engine codes

Found 2 engine codes Today was able to get on loan a Scan Tool from my local Napa dealer. Here is what came up.
-P0118 Engine Coolant temp.
Symptoms (no start witch it is doing)
-P0340 Camshaft Position sensor A circuit or single sensor.
Now the fun begins for looking into the problem. This is all new to me and some reading and troubleshooting is what I got to get the right fix. On limited time and budget.
I just hope I can diagnose this problem quickly.
