2005 Civic Coupe Special Edition Radio Problem Help!
Hey forum I am happy to be a new member but have ran into a problem. My stock radio in my 05 ex special edition coupe is on the fritz. Basically what it is doing is the AM reception is basically gone and my FM has gotten a bit weaker. If I turn on the rear defrost the weaker FM stations totally disappear altogether. It is very frustrating. I took it to a car radio installer place and called Honda and both said they would have to thoroughly look at it. So basically what I want to know is have any of you had a similar problem and if so what is wrong and what did you have to do to fix it? My guess is it is wiring related somewhere back in the trunk area but I wouldn't have the slightest clue where to look as I'm a electronics noob. Anyways I would appreciate any help and I am sorry if already posted!

Did you recently get your windows tinted? Sometimes metallic tint will weaken the signal. Also try to see if the antenna connector to the back window is loose.

Lol ya I got tinted glass like 6 months ago but I don't think it got worse like right after but I could be wrong.
