worn out struts after 10k????
I have been told that the noise my 2003 honda civic coupe is making is due to the almost brand new struts. Granted the struts are not leaking (yet) but I don't understand how it is possible that these "honda struts" could warrant such a noise after less than 10k miles in two years. I have not driven the damned thing over washboard roads. The noise sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car when I am driving slowly over bumps and when I get out and manually listen for the noise by rocking the car the noise seems to come from the front? The dealer says the struts are beyond warranty but I still feel the noise is either from something else or that there must be some sort of recourse I can take rather than to have thrown $416.00 away on new struts less than two years ago...! Any advice or opinion on this matter would be greatly appreciated and welcomed!!

Re: worn out struts after 10k????
ive heard of many cases where oem honda shocks on 01+ civics only lasted 10k miles. but usually bad shocks do not make much noise. were the strut mounts and bearings replaced at the same time as well? also you may want to check the front and rear sway bar endlinks and bushings which can also make noises.
