Hey all. I'm a bit of a noob to civics, but i'm going wholeheartedly at this all the same. I just bought a 97 DX coupe (manual) with a little over 150k miles. got the car for under $1000, and i want to do this right, but as cheap as possible, so I'm doing all the work myself. it was in a minor front end accident. Among other minor problems, my SRS light is on. i spoke to a mechanic friend, and he told me that coil packs frequently go bad in accidents, and that it could be the problem. i disabled my airbags (the way the manual specifies) and ran continuity tests on it, but there were no shorted out nor broken wires. so now i have disconnected airbags

my question- Can i re-connect everything in the reverse order without my airbags deploying? i'm rigging up an SCS service connector to read my TC and reset the comp. to better diagnose my problems. i have the service manual, but am having a hard time finding the wires i need for the reset. can anybody guide me on what to look for?

also, i noticed that one of my seatbelts (the part that locks the actual belt by your side, with the push button release) is not stock. i know the seatbelts are connected to the SRS system. is it possibly that.

my final note: my horn isnt working. could they be connected?

(TL;DR- my SRS system is disconnected. can i safely re-connect it? where are the plugs to reset my SRS TC? can it be a seatbelt problem?)
