Any ideas? Help please

While taking my headlights apart, I got the black sticky stuff on the chrome. And while trying to take it off, the chrome rubbed off!!!! I thought about using chrome spray paint, but it wont look the same! Then I thought about re-dipping in chrome, or should I have some vinyl eyebrows made to cover it up? It's only on the top.
What do you think?

Yeah.....thats prob. the best and cheapest way to do it I thought!

next time use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball to get it off

Yeah, like VNlilMan said, use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball, it happened when I did mine also. Anything that is acidic will eat right throught it. I also wore rubber gloves to keep from getting fingerprints on it.
