EGT Gauge

I haven't been able to find a topic on this, so thought I'd ask: Does anyone have an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauge on their car, and if so, any tips on installation of the probe? I'm getting the electric AutoMeter Phantom gauge EGT kit if that makes any difference.
