Do i really need a special tool from honda to remove the oil filter???

all u need is that oil filter ring thingy that goes around the filter.......you can get one of those anywhere at local auto stores........is that thing special to them

heh.. me and my cousin just changed my oil and oil filter... we didn't even need a screw driver... they are BSing you.

why do you need a screw driver, besides draining the filer prior to removal/removing a very stuck crushed filter?
