My 98 honda civic shakes when AC is turned on... help?

the car runs normal when it's off. And when I run the A/C while in park, the engine's power fluctuates up and down almost like it's going to stall. What does this sound like? Just replaced the waterpump, and the car has almost 180,000 miles on it so I don't want to spend more than the car is really worth, but right now I also can't afford a new one either. Is it the compressor? Evaporator? Clutch? dunno. also, how can i test to find out what is wrong?

Yeah I asked about that a few days ago. I kinda new it was normal but I wanted confirmation. Skipbarber on here told me:

honda uses cycling clutch thermal expansion valve a/c systems. it's normal for it to turn on and off. if it stayed on, condensation would freeze on the evaporator and block air flow from the blower motor.
With auto civics, it's not much of a problem. You can have the A/C on all the time and it's still easy to drive. But with the manuals, it isn't fun to drive because you have power fluctuations resulting in poor shifting at times. I recommend turning the A/C off during takeoff for extra power and predictable up-shifting.

Mine vibrates a little too, and that's normal as well. Everything is a lot smoother ever since I removed my windoweld rear mount mod.
