Question Air Conditioning goes warm?

I am not sure but noticed this since I started working down in the Carolinas (live in Ohio) the air conditioning works fine 95% of the time, but when accelerating like from a red light I notice it will blow warm air till I lay off the gas a bit. If allready moving like down the highway if I give it gas to pass it stays fine. Is this normal? during the 95% up time air is super cold so I dont think it's low on freon. any idea's anyone????

its normal. for our cars (and possibly newer cars in general), the a/c clutch disengages under heavy acceleration to free up power from the engine, and will re-engage once the heavy engine load is gone. this is so you'll get more power back when trying to pass on the highway, etc.

ya and even when cruising, the compressor cycles on and off all the time so you may notice the air getting a bit warm til it kicks back on.

Same here. I understand now that the A/C kicks off during heavy load, but the delay is too long. Much better to just press the button yourself. I remember I did that with the first car I ever owned, which was a 91 Toyota Tercel. You needed to because it only had 75hp on a 1.5. But those were the days before r134a. That old stuff was like antarctica.
