Civic 90 Sedan Mirror

Hi everyone! My first message here about a Civic that doesn't have an opening or anything at all for a passenger side mirror (*photo attachment*). My question is - how do I fit in a mirror there? Do I need to bore a hole in the two triangular block plates? That seems so cumbersome!! Please let me know if there is a way to get a mirror there.

Have you had the inside trim loose yet ??

If the metal has the holes already present... you would have the perfect template to drill them for a factory mirror.

Thanks for the reply. Did you mean the inside (window facing side) of the triangular block plate thats inside the car? If you did: no, I haven;t been able to do that. I took the panel off the door and tried to pull that blcok plate away but its very tightly held there, and I can't see any screws or anything.

Not sure how cover is held in place, Maybe you could pull edge back and look for mounting holes with flashlight.

Worked Had to grit my teeth and yank the plate off. It did NOT break, as I feared and didn't want to do put a lot of force. Now comes the part of finding a cheap mirrir
